What is JUVEDERM XC approved for?
JUVÉDERM® XC non-surgical filler is approved for injection into the mid to deep dermis (below the outer layer of skin) for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases running from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth, also known as parentheses or smile lines).
Am I a candidate for treatment with JUVEDERM XC?
Do not use this product if you have severe allergies or a history of severe allergic reactions. You should also not use this product if you have allergies to lidocaine or the proteins used to make hyaluronic acid. Your doctor will determine if JUVÉDERM® XC treatment is right for you.
What should I discuss with my doctor before getting treatment with JUVEDERM XC?
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of excessive scarring or pigmentation disorders. You should also discuss any medications that you are currently taking that can prolong bleeding, or therapy used to decrease the body’s immune response.

What will treatment with JUVEDERM XC non-surgical filler accomplish?

Results may last up to one year with optimal treatment. Ask your doctor what you should expect from your initial treatment and when they would recommend scheduling another appointment. Is treatment with JUVEDERM XC non-surgical filler painful?
Injections may cause some discomfort during and after the injection. JUVÉDERM® XC is formulated with lidocaine for a more comfortable treatment experience.
How long does treatment usually take?
The injection process can be performed during a brief office visit. You’ll also need to allow time to consult with your doctor prior to treatment. Touch-up injections as well as repeat injections are susually needed to maintain optimal results. Less gel (about half the amount) is usually needed for repeat injections
What kind of doctor can provide treatment with JUVEDERM XC non-surgical filler?
It is recommended that you choose a doctor specifically trained in the administration of JUVÉDERM® XC.
Does the correction last forever?
Correction is temporary and may last up to one year with optimal treatment. Therefore, touch-up injections, as well as repeat injections, are usually needed to maintain optimal results. Less material (about half the amount) is usually needed for repeat injections
What are the possible side effects of JUVERDEM XC non-surgical filler?
Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting (7 days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injections site reaction such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. As with all skin injection procedures there is a risk of infection.
Can people with different skin tones/ colors be treated with JUVEDERM XC?
Yes. In fact, JUVÉDERM® XC non-surgical filler has been studied in all skin types.
Can treatments with JUVEDERM XC and JUVEDREM VOLUMA XC be administered at the same time?
JUVÉDERM® XC and JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC are different products approved to treat different areas of the face. Talk to your doctor to determine the treatment plan that’s right for you.
